Bronte House

Constructed: 1843 - 1845

Bronte House is a private residence which is regularly opened to the public. This romantic Gothic style cottage and garden merges beautifully into the Bronte Gully, forming a harmonious whole. The garden, retrieved from neglect, has been praised worldwide as a triumph and a masterpiece. The House, as described by its original owner, is "lovely beyond conception."
